A Fictional Essay on Dachshund Juggling

Dachshund Juggling has always been something I've wanted to try because it looks like so much fun! Dachshund Juggling is a sport where dachshunds are juggled through the air by there captains. For the past couple of years, I've always made sure to visit the Dachshund Juggling exhibition and cheer for my favorite Dachshund Juggling team, "The Flying Cylinders."

At the last exhibition, I took my own dachshund, Nathan, to get autographed by my favorite Dachshund Juggling star. Next year, we plan on visiting the Dachshund Juggling hall of fame over vacation. I also visit the Dachshund Juggling web site at www.longlittledoggies.com for daily updates.

My favorite dachshund is Frank. The reason for this is that he is very long and chubby which makes him look so adorable when he is flying through the air. Oscar, Sabrette, and Kielbasa are also in the same team as Frank. Sabrette is a female dachshund and is the only female dachshund in the league, but I heard a new contender, Natalie, would be entering the ring next year.

There are not many kinds of special equipment or accessories used in Dachshund Juggling, but during the match, it is necessary that each of the dachshunds' ears must be tied back or the team will be disqualified. This is essential because if the dachshunds' ears are loose, it could be a danger to him and others.

If you wish to train your dachshund for juggling, you must start the preparation at a very early age. Each dachshund must weigh from around 8-15 pounds, depending on height, length, and whether or not it is a mini, tweeny (in between), or regular. The only exception for this is Grand Prix Juggling.

Grand Prix Juggling can be done with one or two persons. This is the final contest to determine the number 1 Dachshund Juggling team. Last year, The Brown Bullets won, who are my second favorite team.

I saw a few of the dachshunds get interviewed and one said, "Grr grr growl woof bark." after being asked if he enjoyed the competition.

"Are you looking forward to the next match?" the reporter asked Link- a member of The Brown Bullets.

"Woof bark bark yap yip grr!" he replied, and he meant it too!

"I hear that next month, there will be a competition between The Brown Bullets and The Flying Cylinders?"

"Yap yap bark grr yap woof," replied Pumpernickel from the team The Loafs.

Well, that's just about all I know about Dachshund Juggling! I can't wait to go to the grand prix over vacation. I hope The Flying Cylinders win!

    Call of the Mild

So round, so firm, so fully packed,
Nathan guarded his tug, ready to attack.

Frankie whined and pleaded for Nate to share his tug,
But Nathan knew that if he had, he would rest unsnug.

A few times Frankie tried to take it from under Nates nose,
Still he failed to, as Nathans guard had undoubtedly rose.

A meow from a cat caught both dogs' attention,
Nathan growled and snarled showing he would not give affection.

The cat walked by in a steady manner, torturing the dogs all the same,
Frankie could stand no more! He ran for the cat like a moth to a flame!

Nathan watched eagerly as they wrestled and played,
Jealously Nate shook the tug like an animal, which made Frankie a little afraid!

As Frankie backed off, and the cat calmed down, Nathan just sat and smiled,
In this household, now Nathan knew, he was Primordial Beast all the while.
